The Shop at the Abbe Museum in Bar Harbor, Maine is world renowned for its exquisite collection of hand crafted items from the Maliseet, Micmac, Passamaquoddy and Penobscot Indians of Maine and the Maritime. The Shop offers ash and sweet grass baskets, birch bark containers, beadwork, jewelry and many other unique, hand crafted items. You will also find a large collection of Native American themed books and music. Whether you’re a serious collector, or just want a little piece of Maine’s Native American heritage, the Shop at the Abbe Museum is definitely worth a visit.
